New Year's Resolutions 2019

Happy Tuesday everyone,

Last year's post includes the 2018 resolutions in more detail. Here I've shortened the resolution in order to leave more room for evaluation which is in bold.

2018 Resolutions

1. Turn 21 - I was pretty freaked out going into it because 21 is a big deal but I had so much fun. Thanks to all the queens who made my 21st birthday amazing!

2. Drink more water - I used an app called Plant Nanny for a while where you feed a plant water as you drink water but I got to a point where I could not keep my plants alive so I gave up.

3. Keep up with my meds - At the beginning of this year, I hit my saturation level with my birth control because I've been taking it for so long and I switched to a new one that has been working really well. I hit a little bump with one of my classes keeping me out past nine when my alarm went off so I did forget a couple times due to that but it was just a matter of moving my alarm back half an hour. Aside from that, I think I did pretty good.

4. Blog twice a month including the book reviews. I didn't blog twice and month but I did post 12 book reviews and 12 other posts so it's at the number of posts I would have done had I posted twice a month.

 :* 2/27

5. Book Review - Post on time. 9/12 post where on time.

6. Read more (50 books) -  Yes! I kicked this resolution's butt! I read 69 books this year!
2017 - 41
2018 - 69

7. Read at least one of the books on this list.
  • William Shakespear Complete Plays
  • The Greatest Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
  • The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S Lewis
  • Flowers in the Attic Series by V.C. Andrews (My mom bought this one for me like 5 years ago)
  • Push Not the River by James Martin
I read the first book in the Flowers in the Attic Series by V.C. Andrews and chose not to continue so it was somewhat checked off the list and somewhat eliminated. I also attempted to check Push Not the River by James Martin off of the list but did not get very far into it before deciding to eliminate it.

8. Write more - I wrote about 73 pages in my notebook and 42 pages for my creative writing class. I got through around half of the notebook so I will be continuing to use it in the new year but I'm putting some sort of separation between the two different years so I can keep track of whether or not I write more in 2019.

9. Journal more - I wrote 42 journal entries and will be switching to a new journal for the new year because I like to rip pages out and the old notebook is whatever it's called when it's not a spiral notebook so I'm switching to a spiral one.

10. DO NOT BUY ANY MORE NOTEBOOKS! This was incredibly difficult and I did cheat an ever so small amount.

  • I bought a planner.
  • A notepad (the person I was shopping with assured me this did not count as a notebook).
  • I was given a notebook for my English class.
  • I asked for two notebooks for Christmas which is kind of cheating but it was necessary okay! One of them was a Scooby-Doo notebook. Need I say more? And the other notebook I needed to replace my current journal.
  • I got a "cat lover's pad" so it's technically not a notebook and I made my mom buy it

11. Create more art -
I painted my Bookshelf (Update) and a painting of my cat that will be shared later.

I got sick of looking at the same wall of my art so I moved some things around. I moved the walrus, painted painted ladies and the frog next to my bookshelf so it's right when you walk into my room. I moved the thing where I hang my paint, a painted paint holder thing, the melted crayon thing (wow this is written eloquently) and my old paint apron to the wall at the end of my bed.

12. Year in pixel - I totally failed at this.

13. Codename Snowman - Fail.

2019 Resolutions

1. Turn 22 - Another scary number as that's how old my mom was when I was born.

2. Drink more water

3. Keep up with my meds - This year I want to keep all of my birth control pack things (what are they called?) and count how many days I missed if any (hopefully) so that the next year I can make a resolution to miss less.

4. Blog 24 times including the book reviews. Bonus points if I post twice a month.

5. Book Review - Post each month's book review on time.

6. Read more? I don't know if reading more than 69 books is reasonable but there was a month where I didn't read anything so I want to read at least one book every month and at least fifty in all
2017 - 41
2018 - 69

7. Finish the Sherlock Series

8. Write more - I'm gonna shoot for 100 pages and we'll see what happens.

9. Journal more - I'm gonna try for 50 journal entries.

O9-P0[[ My cat walked across my keyboard so that is his contribution to this post.

10. Do not buy any notebooks - Even though my notebook collection didn't technically grow this year it also didn't get any smaller so I still have a lot of notebooks and shouldn't need to buy any more this year.

11. Create more art

Totally Ky

P.S. Sorry my resolutions are getting kind of repetitive at this point.
