I absolutely love this series. You might have gotten that idea from how many I read in one month. The main character is probably my all-time favorite fictional character. Her name is Mercedes Thompson also known as Mercy and she is a badass Walker, meaning she can shapeshift into a coyote. She's also a tattooed mechanic and she can kick your ass. There is a bit of a romance between her and the Alpha of a local pack of werewolves but it really isn't your stereotypical werewolf romance due to how strong and independent she is. And it takes several books for the romance to evolve to anything serious. Along with coyotes and werewolves, this world has vampires (one of which who loves Scooby-Doo), a magical species of creatures, the occasional witch and more.

You might be able to tell by the cover art on this series that I don't want to write a review on them because my mom reads my blog.
I will say I've read the whole series so that should tell you how much I like the books. I give the series four out of five stars just because with the type of books they are there aren't five stars worth of depth.
The premise of the series is that Mercile Industries created a human/animal hybrid that later called themselves New Species. There are canine, feline and primate species.
