May Book Review (2)

Happy Tuesday everyone it's not Tuesday,

Sorry this post is late due to a road trip I just got back from and I only read two books last month even though I have more than fifteen books to read.

Guitar Notes
I actually started reading this book last month but I hadn't finished so it's here. I have mixed feelings about this book. It's about a guy in high school who loves playing his guitar but his mom takes it away because he's not doing well in school. The school he goes to has a guitar that he can borrow but he has to use it in one of the practice rooms that he can only use on odd days because a cello player uses it on even days. Now I got this book because the guy character reminds me of my friend. And that part I liked. I didn't really like the cliche of the two falling in love and all that. And it actually cuts of before anything really happens between them so that was a little different and there are songs included in the book so that was cool.

Meg and Linus
I got this book because I have a friend named Meg and when I read the summary it said Meg's girlfriend broke up with her and Meg is pansexual. I thought it was pretty rad so I got it and I'm going to let her read it next. It was kind of strange reading this because there aren't a lot of gay novels on the shelves although it steadily increases. And this book was basically a typical high school book but gay. So I like the gay part but I'm starting to grow out of high school-based books. Not just because I'm getting older but because I've ready SOOO MANY. Honestly, I don't read romances as much as I used to either but I think that's because I'm in a relationship. I used to be super obsessed with romances because I didn't think anyone would ever fall in love with me.

Good afternoon,
Totally Ky
